VIP’s experienced staff can also assist owners and architects from the early design stages to final completion to ensure proper design criteria and installation techniques.

Training:

Most union masons go through an apprenticeship program. We feel that as technologies change, our company must change as well. For this reason, we provide all of our employees with monthly training seminars on craft techniques and the industry’s latest innovations.

In addition to our monthly training program for our field employees, our administrative personnel are required to attend seminars and workshops that will keep them abreast of the latest trends and techniques within the construction industry.

Research & Development:

Research & development is a key strategy that keeps us at the forefront of the restoration industry. Day to day, we are investigating new restorative techniques, specialized equipment, and the chemistry of the materials with which we are working.

Areas of long term research & development include methods for better assessing and recording of existing conditions in an effort to find longer lasting repairs. We have spent a considerable amount of time working with some of the industry’s best minds in materials science, thermography, photogrammetry, laser scanning, and other non-destructive forms of material testing.

Professional Services:

Over the years many architects, engineers, owners, and contractors have recognized our unique and valuable knowledge of the restoration trades. For this reason, the professional community repeatedly calls on VIP to perform scope and print review, provide inspection and testing services, and has included us as team members on projects containing a high degree of complexity.

Community Involvement:

At VIP it is not enough to work within a community, we want to work for the community. We encourage our employees to contribute time and monetary resources to the local communities. Over the past two decades, VIP has provided graffiti removal, volunteer labor, construction management, and monetary assistance to communities, non-profits, and other organizations.
